Installation

• Make sure you have backup copies of any data you created or modified data in an earlier version, in case of any problems.
• After downloading, unzip the contents to a new directory on your computer, or to the same directory as an earlier version of the software.
• Run the PCRDataBuilder.exe program to start the Data Builder.

The software requires the PC-Rail Version 5 system files.

The Data Builder software provides the following main functions:

• Simple housekeeping of project files
• Generation of PC-Rail displays from the user's data
• Data editing and validation facilities
• Some WYSIWYG editing facilities
• Import facility from spreadsheet files
• Preparation of data for use by the simulation software, including where possible the automated calculation of some data fields.
• Compile facility to incorporate the required program files to produce a working simulation.
