GENERAL

From April 1994, Swindon 'B' Signalling Control Centre took control of the Didcot area, as part of the Didcot-Swindon resignalling scheme.

Standard BR multiple aspect signalling is in use, with Track Circuit Block working.

RUNNING LINES

Bidirectional working is provided for as follows:-
   
       Milton to Foxhall Junction:
           Down Main, Up Main and Relief Lines

       Foxhall Junction to Didcot East:
           Up Goods Loop/Platform 4/Up Relief
           Relief Line/Platform 3/Down Relief

Permissive working of trains of classes 1,2,3 and 5 is permitted on platform lines 3, 4 and 5 only, i.e. 2 trains may use the same platform. 

Freight trains and light engines may terminate or originate from Didcot Power Station, Milton Sidings, Didcot Yard, the Appleford ARC Sidings and the GW Society sidings. ECS workings may also run to and from Didcot Yard, Milton Sidings and the GW Society.

Trains entering Didcot Yard may use any of the 3 entrances. Trains leaving the Yard will use the appropriate exit, according to destination. 

Note that the scale used on the track diagram is not uniform.
