Fareham

This excellent and challenging Heritage simulation is set on the Southern, in Hampshire on the coast line between Brighton and Portsmouth/Southampton. The simulation depicts the signalling as it was in the 1950's, incorporating Fareham's two signalboxes.

Fareham station was first opened by the London and South Western Railway (LSWR) in 1841 on the line from Eastleigh to Gosport. Later additions connected Fareham with Southampton, Portsmouth and along the coast towards Brighton. A sharp curve was required to connect these lines, imposing a severe speed restriction which still applies today.

The timetable is for Summer 1951, the last year of passenger services on the Gosport line, featuring a wide variety of ex-LBSC, LSW and SR steam locos.

Fareham is one of our Heritage Series simulations.

This simulation runs using our PC-Rail Plus software.
