Recently released - Durham

This fine Heritage simulation is set in the early 1950's and features the historic city of Durham on the East Coast Main Line. The station is situated high over the city and is approached from the south over the impressive Durham Viaduct. 

At that time, as well as the through platforms and main lines there were a number of bay platforms for local services, including those on the Sunderland to Bishop Auckland line, plus loco sidings and a turntable.

Recreating the working of the two Durham signalboxes, with over 140 levers, this is a seriously challenging simulation.

The full 24-hour timetable has over 250 trains, including freight traffic and a lot of engine movements. Motive power consists exclusively of ex-LNER classes, from A4 pacifics to tank locos.

Our full range of simulations

We now have 150 different simulations available, with a wide range in our Heritage, Modern and Nostalgia series. They cover diverse locations, and varying levels of difficulty.

The most recent releases include Shenfield, Thanet Coast, Scarborough 1980s, Finsbury Park and Rugby Central but please see details of the full range of simulations available on our website.

Register or Subscribe - the choice is yours!

All our simulations can be downloaded and used in evaluation (demo) mode free of charge.

You are welcome to choose which ones to explore and you can then, if you wish, purchase the registration of your favourites, giving full unrestricted use with no time limit.

Alternatively you can use our subscription option to give immediate unlimited use of all our simulations for the duration of your subscription. These are available for periods of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months.

Subscriptions will not renew automatically, but we will normally send a reminder email a short time before your subscription runs out.

Email problems

Due to a recent change of web server we have had a few problems with replies to users' emails being undelivered. If you are expecting a reply and have not received it, apologies but would you please send your email again.We aim to reply to all emails within 2-3 days.

The PC-Rail User Group

If you haven't already joined our User Group you will be very welcome. Membership is free.

This group supports users of PC-Rail by providing a forum to exchange information, ask and answer questions and offer advice to fellow PC-Rail users. You will also find lots of useful information and resources, including layout diagrams for most of our simulations.

You will find answers to many queries in the User Support pages of our website. In particular, please see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page.  

Russ Ashmore has a lot of additional timetables available for purchase on his PC-Rail Services website. He is always happy to add to his range, so if you have produced your own timetable for any of our simulations and would like to share these with other users, please let Russ know.
