This fine Heritage simulation, set in the early 1950's, features the historic city of Durham on the East Coast Main Line. The station is situated high over the city and is approached from the south over the impressive Durham Viaduct.
At that time, as well as the through platforms and main lines there were a number of bay platforms for local services including those on the Sunderland to Bishop Auckland line, plus loco sidings and a turntable.
Recreating the working of the 2 Durham signalboxes, with over 140 levers, this is a seriously challenging simulation.
The full 24-hour timetable has over 250 trains, including freight traffic and a lot of engine movements. Motive power consists exclusively of ex-LNER classes, from A4 pacifics to tank locos.
